SO many variables put each through different amps / use different strings tones change / using crappy leads between the two/ pick quality / each persons ears are slightly different , Newer tuners and pickups sound better nostalgia is expensive (its a vintage style rip off thing)

The fact that you wouldn't use positions two and four on the strat because it wouldn't be a fair comparison..lol. That's exactly why I play Strats!! They are by far the most versatile in existence. Especially an HSS one with coil split.

A dumb bastard would do something like that! So...point being...overdub the appropriate artistic groove or have to also control one wild boy too many? Answer: Overdub! Save the headache! moral of the story is that all guitar sound pretty much the same. Dont but an expensive guitar, just upgrade pickups, and tuners. Maybe add some copper tape on the inside.
